【A lot of fun stuff in April!【Easter 5 April】】

It’s the event as important as Christmas for Christian. The day before easter, we decorate and dyed eggs. That was first time to dye eggs and I did pretty good. In the morning of easter, when we got up and went downstairs, there were easter bunny footprints everywhere around the house! When we follow the footprints, we found easter baskets for everybody. We go some gifts like in Christmas. We also ate the eggs we dyed (it was hard to eat coz eggs had color like blue, red, green….lol) We spent time with family.

【College Field Trip and Host Sister’s Birthday 14 April】

Since I wanted to go see college in here, I asked my coordinator to take to college tour. She took me and Japanese students to OSU(Oregon State University) and U of O (University of Oregon). It was really fun day. I got interested to come back to US for college…I liked OSU better but both college has many kinds of facilities for students and were pretty cool.
It was sister’s birthday too! She turned into 14. I made big birthday card for her and in the morning before she got up, I put it in bathroom to surprise her.
(I knew she was going to the bathroom right after she woke up…hahaha)
And when I got back from college field trip, we ate birthday cake for her and I gave her a birthday present. I was glad she liked it!

【Prom Party 24&25 April】

Getting ready for prom and Prom!!!
I got my dress for prom a week before but I needed to shorten its length so I asked my catering teacher at the high school who is teaching sawing too. So I went to her house after track practice in the morning. And the prom theme was masquerade so I made masks too at her house. Masks turned out pretty good! It was a little difficult tho.
The next night was PROM!! I went with my host brother and other pair of my friends. Mom braided my hair. At the house we had nice dinner before we headed to prom. Prom was fun. I took pics and danced with many of my friends. I wish I had prom in Japan too…..
Prom costed $20 and it’s basically for senior and junior so freshman or sophomore have to go with senior or junior in case they are going.
It was from 19:30-22:30 at where usually wedding ceremony is held. The place was separated in two parts. One had table and chair, food place and the other was dance floor.
At the middle of prom, there were prom court which is choosing Prom King and Queen. Some seniors participated and the queen was the girl from Germany.
